What’s New
I understood that if I create draft lessons, I can see them but you cannot. Turns out they show up on the menu and have caused some confusion because the links did not work. I’ve added this message to the top of all incomplete lessons. I think that is better than getting an error message:

If you get in the habit of checking the bottom of the Dashboard, you will never miss out on a new or updated lesson. Note that all the lessons with the date of August 25 have the above message and will no longer result an error.

I am also trying to remember to put a * at the beginning of the title of the lesson. That tells you that this lesson is empty and it can be skipped. Now I have to remember to remove it once the lesson is complete. Please let me know when I’ve messed this up. Does a lesson need a * or does a lesson need to have the * deleted?

On the Dashboard you will see the new section shown below. The Resume button will take you to the last place you were on the website. The list below that is a list of the last three lessons you visited. I’d love to hear your thoughts. Is this helpful?

I also added a link to a page where you can request a lesson for the Live! Thursday or PCP or VDC lessons. See the link highlighted in yellow in the image above. This page is unique to YOU. No one else will see it. When I cover your lesson, I will post a message with the date that I covered your topic. It will never get lost in emails.
When you open the Getting Started … section by clicking on the arrow, you will see a link to a page with a description of the stages of Rug Hooking. Identify the stage you are in and review the lessons on that page. Please note that this is VERY NEW and not all the links are in place yet. Some links direct you back to cindigayrughooking.com, my free blog site. Other links will send you to a full course or a specific lesson. Having the links here, organized by stage, will help you focus on what you need to learn NOW.
Live Event: Thursdays 6pm eastern

Join me for a Live! weekly lesson every week on Thursday at 6pm eastern.
Space is limited. We hit the limit (100 people!) every week since early August. If you get locked out, I have a way for you to participate.

Log into the The Rug Hooking Journey’s Dashboard. There is a private Youtube link in the sidebar. Click the link. You can also comment here but you cannot raise your hand and come on camera to ask a question.
If you miss the lesson completely, you can watch the replays inside The Rug Hooking Journey.
I still need to reschedule the bonus lesson about Graphic, the app I use to design patterns.

Personal Update
I finally have a faster internet (25mbps down and 3mbps up) as of mid September! I will be paying as much as my daughter does in Fort Worth, TX for 1,000mbps! But it is worth every penny. It hasn’t gone down once since it was installed.
In late August, I got a phone call that my Mom was sick. She lives 6 hours way. I spent 10 days with her while she was in the hospital in Kentucky. She was discharged to a nursing home. Luckily we got her into the same facility where my Dad is. They are now finally in the same room. I am now working on clearing out her home.
After my second trip south, I came home for a break to catch up with my business and felt sick on the trip home. The next day I was diagnosed with pneumonia. I spent a week in bed and about 2 days feeling better, only to backslide. I’m now resting full time again. Orders are going unfulfilled, emails are unanswered. I’ll get to them when I feel better.
The auto log in link below is new. I’ll be including it in every email. Just click it and you are automatically logged in! Keep this email for handy access.
Cindi, I hope you feel better each day. You have your hands full. . . I am glad your parents can be together in the nursing home. I hope it gives you comfort. I say a prayer for you and your family as you continue your education of rug hookers. You are a gift to all of us. Thank you for your dedication. I learn so much each and every class.
Thank you,
Nancy Taylor
Thanks, Nancy. I’m glad they are safe and watched over. I give thanks every day for my loyal followers. I could not have done this without you.
