Your rugs tell the story of your creative journey, so they’re worth documenting. In this course, you’ll learn how to catalog your rugs using Notion, a flexible app that makes it easy to organize photos, add notes, record details, and keep your entire collection in one place. It’s a wonderful way to preserve your work and watch your artistic growth over time.
Notion is a new type of software that allows the user to customize it to almost anything. I’ve done all the customizing for you. All you need to do is fill in the form.
I use Notion for everything. In case you are curious, I personally use the PPV system from August Bradley, but what we are doing here is MUCH simpler.
This course is intended to help you use the Notion Art Catalog. It is not a complete instruction manual for using Notion. Notion is amazing. Here are some Youtube channels I recommend:
- August Bradley, Notion Life Design
- Marie Poulin
- Cat Mulvihill, Cat focuses on presentations, so this playlist may be more helpful.
- Danny Hatcher, I tend to end up on one of his videos if I need help with a formula.
- Notion itself
- Yes, there is that much to learn, but you can ignore it all and just use the template as I have designed it.
This Template
This system was originally designed for rug hookers but can be used with ANY type of art your want to track, even multiple kinds, all in the same place.
The General Steps you will be taking…
