What is an affiliate program?
Affiliate programs have been available for the internet for many years. I made some of my first real money in the 90’s when I recommended Paypal. Each new customer I brought their way, Paypal put $10 in my account. It was not a lot, but it added up fast.
As far as I know, there are no real affiliate programs in the rug hooking world so this may be new to you.
How it works…
You sign up to be an affiliate. The form is right here.
Next, you log into the Snippets Affiliate Program by clicking this icon.
Copy the link that is created for you personally. Use this link anywhere you want to direct people to the course. You should mention that the link you are using is an affiliate and you will be paid for directing other rug hookers to the course. Be sure to share your personal experience with each course.
Tip: You can only promote the courses to which you belong. Promote the ones you already have. Earn commissions to buy the others. You could be getting all you new courses for free!
When & How Much
After someone clicks your link, you will receive the commission if they purchase within 30 days. During the testing period you will earn more 10%.
Check your Progress
Be sure to visit the Snippets Report Page after you are signed up. This will show what commissions you have earned.
Getting Paid
For now, the payout will happen each quarter. This will be adjusted and may become more often as time goes on. This is an experiment. I’ve never done this before and chances are, you’ve never done this either. We’ll figure it out together.
The payout could be a credit to your Paypal account, a check in the mail or a credit on your howtorughook.com account. I am still researching those options.
Your commissions will be held until a payout is made once a certain threshold is met. Depending on the method of payout, I will set the threshold. For now, all I can give you is my promise that all commissions will be paid. If I chose to cancel the program, I will send out all payments.
If you choose to cancel your membership to The Rug Hooking Journey, you will forfeit any unpaid commissions.
