All styles welcome,
Fine cut shading with a #3 or primitive style with a #8 or larger…..
Did you know that you can only develop YOUR style of rug hooking through trial and error? This process can take YEARS and you may still be confused about your own style.
Being exposed to other styles and methods will really speed this process up for you. You need a coach, you need a teacher or just someone to bounce ideas off of.

But what if you are a rug hooking island? 🏝️ No one is nearby or you cannot travel to join a group or a workshop. I’ve got you covered. Every week inside The Rug Hooking Journey [TRHJ] you have an opportunity to ask me questions or just listen to the questions everyone else is asking. Because when you are new, you don’t even know what to ask, right?
You are so excited about a new rug and then you hit a wall and you don’t know what to do next. What color, what direction, which wool? There are so many questions.
Imagine What Could Be…

Imagine having a rug hooking teacher right at your finger tips, every week. Ask those pesky questions and get an answer that makes sense.
If you are just starting out, buying your tools and equipment may be confusing. I can help. You don’t need as much as you think to get started.
Maybe you need inspiration about what to hook next or specific help with one of your rugs. The Rug Hooking Journey Membership can help. Sit and chat at the twice weekly hook-ins, Wednesday with Kim Hirt and Saturday with Cindi Gay.

Then on Tuesday during Office Hours, get the answers you need. The class is held in Zoom and you can hold up your rug and get advice. It is like having an expert teacher at your finger tips several times a week.
The answer to your struggle is:

I can’t help but gush about Cindi Gay’s Rug Hooking Journey! I am pretty new to rug hooking and I have found it so enjoyable that I have been searching for information everywhere to learn more about this art form. I have bought books, been to wool shops, and, of course, been all over the internet. I watched some of the free videos on Cindi’s website and decided to join The Rug Hooking Journey. It is a bonanza of information! Cindi is incredibly generous with her extensive knowledge and explains things thoroughly and clearly. And it is fantastic to be able to go back and look at each session whenever I want. I liked the Journey so much I signed up for the Color Planning course, as well. Cindi herself is such a joy and I appreciate her delightful personality and sense of humor. Her courses are an incredible value for the scope and quantity of information they offer.
